About ME

My journey with yoga started a number of years ago as a way to improve my fitness and core strength. I’d had a run of sporting injuries, and frankly my body couldn't keep up with how I was treating it. I turned to yoga as a 'low impact' way to recover and rebuild my core stability. I ended up loving the practice of yoga, and was surprised to see its positive effects flow into other areas of my life.

Since then, yoga has seen me through two pregnancies, helped me manage both work and life related stress, and balanced out my life with a growing family.

Now as a yoga teacher, my goal is to share yoga with anyone and everyone. I’d like all my students to feel comfortable in class, and be inquisitive about their yoga practice. I want to dispel any preconceived assumptions about yoga and those who practice yoga. You don't need to be flexible, fit or firm to do yoga.

Yoga is different for everybody, and for every body. And everyone will have their own journey with yoga. I’d like to share my yoga journey with you, and play a part in creating yours.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my six weeks with Amanda. I really liked the way she explains all the poses and I was able to progress in my yoga a lot more than I thought. It was also great to have a program designed specifically for me, so I can continue my yoga practice in my own time.
